The American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.

Please help us support the Greenwich Chapter, which provides immediate humanitarian aid—food, shelter, financial assistance, temporary housing, mental health support & emergency supplies to those in need.
The Red & White Ball is an amazing fund raiser;
- In response to Hurricanes Ike, Gustav, Rita and Katrina, the Greenwich Chapter trained 171 volunteers who gave 866 days of disaster relief to our nation.
- Spirit of America, the mobile kitchen was purchased with funds from Greenwich’s 2002 Red & White Ball and given to the National American Red Cross. In the aftermath of Katrina, the California wildfires and the Midwest flooding, our kitchen provided millions of meals to families in need.
- Funds raised at the 2007 Red & White Ball supported the creation of a new Red Cross Call Center in New York City which has been fielding thousands of inquiries since last month’s earthquake in Haiti; providing details about Red Cross services and response efforts, information on family tracing, guidance on local emergency management, referrals to state and national social services and, perhaps most importantly, a friendly and reassuring voice in a time of need.
